Pokemon Go Fest is going to be BIG and have global in-game rewards

Pokemon Go Fest

POKEMON GO Fest is set to have a big attendance, while the new event will also include a range of in-game rewards that will be available globally.

PokemonGo Fest was announced by Niantic earlier this year and will be the first of what is believed to be a new range of global events that fans can enjoy.

While the tickets may have sold out in Chicago, more details for the Niantic celebration have been revealed.

Niantic’s permit application with the Chicago Park District has confirmed new details on what will be included during the big event.

As already revealed, Pokemon Go Fest will feature three Team lounges, all of which will face a Gym Video Pillar.

It has also been confirmed that the Petrillo Music Shell at the site will be the stage of the “ultimate gym”.

Pokemon go Raids

The ultimate gym appears to suggest that something big will be released during the event, fans of course will be hoping this will be a Legendary Pokemon.

Niantic have already confirmed that new global in-game rewards will be available during the festival.

And it would make sense that Trainers would be able to work together doing synchronised raids around the world to catch something special.

It should be noted that Niantic haven’t officially confirmed this as something that will happen during the Festival, the only current information reads: “Work together with thousands of Trainers in the park and millions around the world to complete challenges throughout the day and unlock amazing in-game rewards globally.

“More details about these challenges and rewards will be revealed in the coming weeks.”

Trainers can also look forward to the Pokémon Go Fest walking course, that will be lined with PokeStops that award special 2 km Eggs which can only be obtained in Grant Park.

These will likely be exclusive rewards for attending the event, which has a capacity set for between 15,000 to 20,000 people.

Other details revealed include the standard organisation of the Pokemon Go Fest itself – Niantic will be spending $50,805 for the permit, 66 portable restrooms can be found on the map, while a Food Court and Pikachu photo opportunity area is also listed.
